
After a stunning first edition, the second International Thriller Film Festival will be held from Thursday 8 to Sunday 11 April in Beaune. For this event, many celebrities will walk on the red carpet in front of Cap Cinema.
Screenings of the world’s best thriller films and a feature film challenge will be presented. These films will be watched by a merciless and expert jury from the film industry and the international police, for everyone’s delight, from film lovers to any passers-by ! The ideal time to spend a pleasant weekend in Burgundy’s main city and enjoy a thrilling atmosphere.
The Thriller Film Festival is also an opportunity to pay tribute to celebrities from the literary world with the Roman Noir Award ( “Roman Noir” is the French equivalent for hardboiled detective fiction style) given to a French author and a foreign author.
It is finally an opportunity to pay tribute to a city. After “Paris Polar” (literally “Detective Paris”) for the first edition, this year the Festival will highlight New York dealing with the theme “Detective New York, Naked City.” Festival-goers will discover a selection of emblematic films such as Killer’s Kiss by Stanley Kubrick, 1955; The Wrong Man by Alfred Hitchcock, 1956; Detective Story by William Wyler, 1951; Taxi Driver by Martin Scorsese, 1976, and many others!
